With the current coronavirus concerns and the need for social distancing, it’s a good time to reflect on Joseph Pilates wise words. Joseph had rickets as a child and discovered that the sun helps the body produce vitamin D, which is essential for healthy bones. Additionally, he recognized that ultraviolet rays from the sun were beneficial too. This virus is killed by ultraviolet rays. So, I am teaching my scheduled mat classes outside ! Please join us and share this info with others who are looking for ways to stay healthy and positive.

OUTDOOR CLASS SCHEDULE

Classes are taught at Unity located at 3414 Sunrise Blvd. 34982

Bring a mat and perhaps a sheet or towel as a barrier between your mat and the ground. I have hand sanitizer and alcohol spray. Restrooms are available.

COST: The H2U sponsored classes require a $20 membership and $5 per month per class. Membership is available on line through Lawnwood Hospital H2U or an application from me. The Thursday class is a $10 drop in or $48 for six session class card. Normal classes will resume when safe.



ZOOM VIRTUAL PILATES MAT CLASS

Zoom is an on-line platform for virtual meetings....and now, Atlantic Pilates classes.

It’s easy to use and allows my students to practice Pilates in their homes, offices, boats or RVs. If you travel, you can still attend a live class.

Here’s how it works. Find an appropriate space to workout. Make sure you can see your device (laptop, PC, tablet or phone) You will sign in to a free Zoom account and be sure you are ready to RSVP to a class.  I will send an email with the link, ID and password.  Please arrive to class 15 minutes before class starts. You will be able to see me on the screen and I will see participants in thumbprints along my screen.

REQUIRED for CLASS: a Spri 6" sponge ball or similar 6’ soft ball & a 7’ resistance band ( I sell bands for $10 including shipping.)

COST: $10 for a single class or $48 for six session class card. Cards have a 2 month expiration. Private sessions are available for $25. Payment must be made prior to class and can be paid through paypalmissbarbarak@earthlink.net, ZELLE 772-233-2407 or a check.
